SETTING UP!

Getting Ready!

Hey there! Welcome to my garden to table blog! In this blog, I'll be showing you the process of my mini-garden from the very start, up to harvest time. I can't wait for what I have stored for you!

As you can see from the picture above, this is our family garden, located at our backyard. You do need a certain amount of space for a garden, but if you just started, no need for a very large space of ground. Take advantage of vertical space as well.

Our family also loves animals, especially dogs. One problem that we encountered was that our dogs learned to dig, and destroyed a few of our harvest and plants. So my family also decided to have a place for themselves, to keep our plants healthy, and where all our dogs can enjoy.

You don't need a proper pot or proper tools for your garden, you can help the environment by using recyclable materials for your garden! We used plastic bottles, plastic cups, plastic trays, plastic drums, and even old appliances that can no longer be used, similar to the rice cooker that we used as a pot.

You also don't need steel or new pieces of wood for the vines, you may use bamboo sticks, which are strong and can last longer than normal wood.

Once our plants grow high and tall, similar to the picture above, we trim the branches below, for easy access to clean and plant more seedlings below.

Tools may help you in your garden, but you don't have to buy, you may make your own from plastic, or look for rusted kitchen supplies, similar to the right-most tool in the picture.

Once again, thank you for taking a visit of this blog, make sure to check out other post similar to this one. Till next time, See YOU!
